The Bank of England has said it will inject a further £75bn into the economy through quantitative easing (QE),the first time it has added to its QE programme since 2009. Tonight Paul Mason will take us through the details of what is happening, why it is happening now and how the Bank hope it to aid the fragile economic recovery. With the BBC announcing that it is planning to cut 2,000 jobs and radically change programming in order to cut 20% from its budget over the next five years, Stephen Smith will report on the wider cultural impact of a shrinking Auntie.
